PROFILES OF SPEAKERS AND TOPICS
PATRICIA LYONS, L.I.S.W. is the Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse Ohio, Center for Child and Family Advocacy, Children’s Hospital of Columbus Ohio. She serves as a visible leader and advocate for key child welfare and abuse issues across the State of Ohio. She successfully merged the Prevention programs under the umbrella of Prevent Child Abuse Ohio to expand the reach and services to the community providing not only advocacy and education but interventions as well. Pat received her Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University.
JANICE C. KALUZA is the Career-based Intervention Instructor for at-risk students at Hudson High School. She is a trained parenting and discipline facilitator in the Cline/Fay Love and Logic Philosophy. She provides workshops for parents through the Hudson Adult Education Program. She teaches workshops in student discipline through Kent State University. She has presented parenting and discipline information to schools, colleges, youth organizations, churches and adoption agencies in Ohio, Arizona, and Florida. Janice has her Masters degree in Career-Technical Education from Kent State University. Her background experiences also include proficiency tutoring and gifted, remedial and multi-cultural education programs in Ohio, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Spain and Thailand.
ERIN G. ROSEN is the Senior Assistant Attorney General with the Ohio Attorney Generals Office. She currently works in the newly created Special Prosecutions Section as Sex Crimes Unit Coordinator handling cases from Grand Jury through the appellate process, provides legal advice to law enforcement and county prosecutors concerning Ohio sex offender registration laws, reviews proposed legislation affecting the areas of criminal law, and works closely with the Ohio Sentencing Commission on making recommended changes to Ohio’s sentencing structure. Erin received her juris doctorate degree from the University of Akron School of Law. TODD WALTS is the Executive and Program Director for Campus Impact for over 15 years. Campus Impact Program’s mission is to promote the social and emotional development of teens and young adults through memorable, experiential learning programs. Todd is an Olweus Bullying Prevention Program Certified Trainer of Trainers with a heart to make our schools a safe place for everyone. He has a desire to share his leadership experience to help develop great youth leaders of the future.
